1. Who runs this website
This website is operated by Roman Karas, 3 Ochakivskyi Lane, Kyiv 02000, Ukraine (“we”, “us”), the owner of the Tauvik project. Questions about these terms can be sent to [email protected].
2. What the website is, and is not
The website presents Tauvik Sunnmøre Resort & Casino, a resort in development on an island off the Sunnmøre coast in western Norway. It is purely informational. In particular:
- it takes no reservations and accepts no payments;
- it sells no products, services, materials or kits;
- it has no user accounts and stores no personal data in the site itself;
- it offers no gambling of any kind;
- it does not teach knotting or any other craft and publishes no diagrams or instructions.
The only way to register interest is to send us an email, as described on the contact page.
3. Plans, not promises
Most of what the website describes is planned for the future. Images are artist’s impressions, and figures such as areas, capacities and distances are design figures that may change. We try to keep the information accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that it is complete, correct or up to date, and nothing on the website is an offer. Please check with us before relying on any specific detail.
4. Intellectual property
The texts, artist’s impressions, the Tauvik name and monogram, the design, the illustrations of knots and threads, and the code of this website belong to us or are used with permission. They are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You may view the website, print or save individual pages for your own personal, non-commercial use, and share links to any page. You may not, without our written permission:
- copy, republish or distribute substantial parts of the website, including its images;
- use the Tauvik name, monogram or images in a way that suggests a connection with us or our endorsement;
- extract content systematically, including for building datasets or training machine-learning models.
The typefaces Space Grotesk and Lora are used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1; the licence text is included with the font files. Names of other organisations and properties mentioned on the website, such as Norsk Tipping, Norsk Rikstoto, Hjelpelinjen, Datatilsynet, Aria Resort & Casino and Grand Portage Resort, belong to their respective owners. They are mentioned for information or editorial comparison only, and we have no connection with them.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use the website lawfully and not to:
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its server or related systems, or to bypass its security settings;
- interfere with the website’s operation, for example by overloading it or introducing malicious code;
- harvest the email addresses shown on the website for unsolicited messages;
- send us content that is unlawful, abusive or infringes the rights of others, or impersonate another person when contacting us.
If you discover a security weakness, please tell us at [email protected] rather than testing it further.
6. Emails you send us
Sending us an email, including through the interest-list form, does not create a contract or any obligation on either side. We read every message, but we cannot promise to answer every one, and nothing we say in reply is binding unless it is expressly confirmed in writing as an agreement. Personal data in your messages is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Accessibility
We have built the website to work with a keyboard, with screen readers, with reduced-motion settings and without JavaScript, and to remain readable at large text sizes. 8. Links to other websites
The website links to a small number of other websites, such as Hjelpelinjen and Datatilsynet. We include them because they may be useful, but we do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the website at any time, for example as the project develops. We aim to keep the website available but do not guarantee that it will always be accessible or free of errors, and we are not liable if it is unavailable for any period.

We may revise these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated, and the version published here at the time you use the website applies.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Ukraine. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you habitually live and may bring proceedings in the courts of that country. If anything in these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
